More than six months in the making, the producers behind "Occupy This Album," an Occupy-benefit album featuring 99 songs by 99 artists, have announced the project will be released on May 15th on the upstart imprint Music For Occupy via indie label Razor & Tie. The massive tribute mixes contributions from seminal artists such as David Crosby and Graham Nash, Ani DiFranco, Jackson Browne and even Yoko Ono with discovered-in-the-park occupiers like Matt Pless, Kanaska Carter and George Martinez's Global Block Collective. According to the site, "all proceeds above board attained through the production and distribution of [the album] ... will go directly towards the needs of sustaining this growing movement." Check out two songs from the forthcoming project below: an acoustic, album-only version of Our Lady Peace's "Fight The Good Fight" and Global Block's "Occupation Freedom." Mark your calendars and clear up some hard drive space!
